About Me (Jerry Eder)

I grew up on the south side of Indianapolis and attended Roncalli High School, graduating in 1984. After graduation, I served our country in the 82nd Airborne Division, where I learned the importance of self-discipline and determination, both of which have served me well in both my business and personal lives.

I then pursued an engineering degree at IUPUI, while also working in the construction industry. It was through this that I realized my talent for working with my hands and that I possess a sharp eye for detail. I began to work in the residential construction business full time, and for the next 10 years, worked as a carpenter, job superintendent and business partner.

Wanting to fulfill my dream to earn a degree, I attended Ball State and graduated Cum Laude, in 2002, with a Technology Education Degree. I taught Construction Technology and Pre-Engineering courses at the high school level, but quickly realized I missed working with my hands.

I was presented with an opportunity to work as a Structural Designer and Salesman for a lumber company, and when the economy crashed in 2008, I was laid off. Since I still yearned to work in the residential remodeling business, I started Eder Construction in 2009. The company has enjoyed great success and we are looking forward to serving many more satisfied customers in the future.

The Company

When the construction business suffered in the recession of 2008, I realized that many people would opt for remodeling versus either buying a new home or embarking on new construction. This is a need I knew I could fill. As you will see on the Testimonials page, I am very customer conscious, and won’t leave a job until you are completely satisfied with the work you hired us to do.

I am an honest and hard-working man, which, to me, is a rare commodity in this day and age, especially in the construction industry. I know that I have the knowledge, experience, and work ethic to make your home into the space you envision it to be.

The Future

While the history section of a website may seem to be an odd place to discuss the future, I don’t believe it is. At Eder Construction, we believe that if you don’t understand your history, you can’t advance into the future.

The future for Eder Construction is bright. We are a solidly founded, general contracting company with high hopes for advancement and growth. The Indianapolis area market in which we are operating will facilitate new business, and the opportunities are endless. We recognize that with hard work, dedication, and a commitment to excellence, Eder Construction will grow into one of the area’s most successful construction operations. We hope you choose to join us on the journey.
