I grew up on the south side of Indianapolis and attended Roncalli High School, graduating in 1984. After graduation, I served our country in the 82nd Airborne Division, where I learned the importance of self-discipline and determination, both of which have served me well in both my business and personal lives.
I then pursued an engineering degree at IUPUI, while also working in the construction industry. It was through this that I realized my talent for working with my hands and that I possess a sharp eye for detail. I began to work in the residential construction business full time, and for the next 10 years, worked as a carpenter, job superintendent and business partner.
Wanting to fulfill my dream to earn a degree, I attended Ball State and graduated Cum Laude, in 2002, with a Technology Education Degree. I taught Construction Technology and Pre-Engineering courses at the high school level, but quickly realized I missed working with my hands.
I was presented with an opportunity to work as a Structural Designer and Salesman for a lumber company, and when the economy crashed in 2008, I was laid off. Since I still yearned to work in the residential remodeling business, I started Eder Construction in 2009. The company has enjoyed great success and we are looking forward to serving many more satisfied customers in the future.
